Apply to become the next Director General of the Nigerian Space Agency

The National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA) is one of the Research and Development Institutions under the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology. The Agency was established in May 1999 with a broad objective to pursue the development and application of Space Science and Technology for the socio-economic benefits of the Nation.

The main thrust of the Agency’s activities is geared towards making space science and technology applications an integral part of the overall strategies for sustainable national development.

The National Space Research and Development Agency, on behalf of National Space Council, in accordance with NASRDA Act 201, invites suitably qualified candidates with sound academic and administrative prowess in the management of a High Tech Research Institution for the position of:

Director General/Chief Executive

Qualification: PhD/Fellowship
Experience: 15 years
Location: Abuja, Nigeria

The mandates of the Agency as contained in the NASRDA Act 2010 are as follows:

The tenure of the Director-General/Chief Executive Officer shall be for a period of Five (5) years. Conditions of service are as provided for Political, Public and Judicial Office Holders (Salaries and Allowances, etc (Amendment) Act, 2008 and as applied to Federal Government Research Institutes.
