Dragonfly Aerospace is seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Opto-Mechanical Technician to join their Imaging team in Stellenbosch. The Opto-Mechanical Technician support the assembly, integration, and verification (AIV) of our imaging systems and associated support equipment. Additionally, they will help maintain equipment, perform quality checks, and ensure every component meets rigorous aerospace standards.

Location

This Opto-Mechanical Technician role is based in Stellenbosch, just outside Cape Town. It is a one-year fixed-term contract, with the possibility of extension.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  1. National Diploma in a related field (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electronics or Physics). A Bachelor’s in Technology is preferred.
  2. 0–5 years’ experience in a relevant technical role.
  3. Programming exposure (Python, C/C++, etc.) is a plus.
  4. Proficiency in English; Afrikaans comprehension is beneficial.
