DESCRIPTION:The South African Space Agency (SANSA) invites interested participants to attend its Earth Observation (EO) training on “Harnessing Space Technological Applications in Sustainable Urban Development using Julia Programming Language” between 16 -18 July 2024 at Capital Menlyn Maine\, South Africa. The training workshop aims to develop skills in the use of Julia programming language to visualise and process earth observation data with more emphasis on sustainable human settlement applications. \nBenefits\n\nParticipants will learn the fundamentals of the Julia programming language\, including basic syntax\, data types\, control structures\, functions\, and libraries;\nParticipants will learn how to visualise EO data using Julia libraries. They will learn how to create various plots\, maps\, and visualisations to analyse and communicate spatial information effectively;\nParticipants will learn how to handle and manipulate EO data using Julia libraries; and\nParticipants will learn how to process and analyse satellite imagery using Julia libraries. They will learn techniques for image enhancement\, classification\, and feature extraction.\n\nHow to Attend\nInterested participants must confirm their attendance by completing the confirmation form for planning purposes. \nAdditional Notes\nSelected delegates will receive an email confirmation.
