SUMMARY:16th EUMETSAT User Forum
DESCRIPTION:The 16th EUMETSAT User Forum in Africa will be held from September 16 to 20\, 2024\, in Cotonou\, Benin. The European Organisation organises the event for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites (EUMETSAT) in collaboration with the Agence Nationale de la Météorologie du Bénin (Météo Bénin) under the Ministry of Living Environment and Transport of the Republic of Benin. \nThe EUMETSAT User Forum in Africa is a collaborative platform that fosters ongoing dialogue between EUMETSAT and the African user community\, including National Meteorological Services and their regional centres. The forum’s primary goal is to encourage the widespread use of EUMETSAT satellite data throughout Africa. Importantly\, it offers a unique opportunity for stakeholders to actively participate and suggest actions and initiatives that EUMETSAT could undertake to address their specific needs. \nThe first Meteosat Third Generation (MTG) satellite data is being transmitted to Africa through EUMETCast. Therefore\, this forum will explore how this data can improve early warning systems for extreme weather events. The event programme will feature presentations and open discussions on using space for early warning systems in Africa. \nFor more information\, visit the event website here. \n\nClick here to get real time data and information on every Segments and players in the African space and satellite industry.

SUMMARY:We Make Future 2026
DESCRIPTION:WMF\, We Make Future\, one of Europe’s largest international trade fairs and festivals dedicated to artificial intelligence\, technology\, and digital innovation\, opens its 2026 edition from Wednesday\, 24th June to Friday\, 26th June 2026 at BolognaFiere in Bologna\, Italy. \n\n\nThe event’s thematic scope is broad\, including AI\, digital marketing\, cybersecurity\, fintech\, robotics\, geopolitics\, the creator economy\, edtech\, govtech\, and sustainability\, among others. WMF has previously hosted participants and winning startups from across Africa\, including from Egypt\, and has described itself as a platform connecting innovation ecosystems from more than 90 countries. \nAmong the Open Stage tracks confirmed for WMF 2026 is a dedicated Space Economy stage\, one of ten thematic open stages. The inclusion of a space economy track within a generalist technology and innovation fair of WMF’s scale reflects a broader trend: space is increasingly appearing on the agenda of mainstream innovation and digital economy convenings\, not only at specialist industry events. For African space practitioners and organisations interested in the European technology investment and startup ecosystem\, WMF’s programme\, particularly its World Startup Fest and VC and Open Innovation Fest components\, may offer relevant touchpoints. \nWMF 2026 runs from 24 to 26 June 2026 at BolognaFiere\, Viale della Fiera 20\, Bologna\, Italy. Ticket categories: Full Ticket\, Visitor Ticket\, and Fiera Ticket\, determine access to different stage tiers. Further information on registration and the full programme is available at en.wemakefuture.it. \n\nClick here to get real time data and information on every Segments and players in the African space and satellite industry.
