DESCRIPTION:The 3rd Conference on SPACE STAR’24 (Science\, Technology\, Applications & Regulation) will be held between 13– 15 November 2024\, in Tunisia. \nFurthermore\, the organising committee invites researchers\, professionals\, policymakers\, and students to submit abstracts for presentations\, panel proposals\, and poster sessions on Space Science\, Technology\, Application\, and Regulation topics. The conference will focus on “The Role of Space Tools in Addressing the Challenges of Emerging Countries in Bridging SDG Gaps.” This year’s event aims to foster interdisciplinary discussions\, knowledge exchange\, and collaboration to promote the use of space exploration and technology in emerging countries and worldwide. \nSubmission Guidelines\n\nAbstracts must be written in English and should not exceed 300 words;\nAuthors are encouraged to indicate their preferred format (oral presentation\, panel discussion\, or poster presentation); and\nSubmissions will be evaluated based on their relevance to the conference theme\, originality\, clarity\, and significance to the conference themes. DESCRIPTION:The National Space Programme Management Office (GGPEN)\, in collaboration with Stellenbosch University\, Cape Peninsula University of Technology\, Namibia University of Science and Technology\, and Namibia Institute of Space Technology\, is organising the 13th Micro/Nano/Pico Satellite Symposium and the 10th UNISEC Global Meeting. The event\, themed “Innovations in Architecture\, Technologies\, and Education\,” will be hosted at Stellenbosch University in the Western Cape\, South Africa\, from 25-29 November 2024. \nThe Nano-Satellite Symposium\, an integral part of the “Hodoyoshi Project” funded by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS)\, occurred in Tokyo in 2010. This year marks the first time the event will be held on the African continent and only the third time outside Japan. DESCRIPTION:The United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA)\, in collaboration with the Kenya Space Agency\, invites interested individuals to participate in the fifth edition of the Space4Women Expert Meeting\, which will be held in Nairobi\, Kenya\, from 27 to 29 November 2024. \nBackground\nThe Space for Women (Space4Women) Expert Meeting series\, a capacity-building initiative of the United Nations Office for Outer Spacer Affairs (UNOOSA)\, is a pivotal annual gathering aimed at advancing gender equality and empowering women’s participation in space-related fields. The initiative encourages women and girls to pursue Science\, Technology\, Engineering\, and Mathematics (STEM) education and raises awareness about career opportunities in the space sector. \nWe highly encourage African participants to apply. \nTheme and Target Audience for the Space for Women Meeting\nThe event will bring together experts and decision-makers from space agencies\, governments\, NGOs\, international organisations\, UN entities\, the private sector\, academia\, and civil society. \nUNOOSA invites Member States and entities to champion gender mainstreaming by mobilizing participation\, presenting\, and facilitating discussions on actionable solutions and policies using the Gender Mainstreaming Toolkit to address the gender gap.
