Namibia Opens National Consultations on Space Science and Technology Bill

The Ministry of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports, Arts and Culture (MEYSAC) invites members of the public and all interested stakeholders to participate in national consultations on the development of Namibia’s National Space Science and Technology Bill.

The consultations form part of the Ministry’s stakeholder engagement process to obtain public input on the proposed legislative framework for the development, regulation, and promotion of space science and technology in Namibia. This comprehensive consultation process reflects the government’s commitment to ensuring that Namibia’s space sector development is informed by diverse perspectives from across the nation.

The Bill represents a critical step in establishing the institutional and legal foundation necessary to guide Namibia’s space activities, supporting research, innovation, and commercial development whilst ensuring alignment with international space law and national development priorities.
