Internship Opportunity

The South African National Space Agency (SANSA) is looking to recruit for multiple positions. These positions include three electronics engineering interns and an electronics engineering in-service trainee.

Electronics Engineering (Three)

This is a temporary role open for three electronic engineering interns. The successful candidates will be exposed to satellite ground station operations. This includes rendering Earth–Observation satellite data acquisition services to SANSA’s Earth-Observation directorate, as well as providing tracking, telemetry, and command (TT&C) support and satellite monitoring services to a host of international space agencies and satellite operators. The interns will gain more experience in the project, telecommunications, and electronics engineering fields.

Electronics Engineering In-Service Trainee (One)

This is a temporary role for a 24-month learning opportunity in Hartebeesthoek, Gauteng. The opportunity is open to individuals with the relevant skills, drive, competencies, and qualifications who put the interests of the nation first, have a commercial mindset, think like our customers, are knowledge-driven and people-centric.

The successful candidates will be provided with practical Work Integrated Learning (WIL) experience to complete and obtain the qualification. In addition, the electronic engineering in-service trainee will learn the satellite ground station operations, which include rendering Earth–Observation satellite data acquisition services to SANSA’s Earth-Observation directorate, as well as providing tracking, telemetry, and command (TT&C) support and satellite monitoring services to a host of international space agencies and satellite operators.
