The South African National Space Agency (SANSA) is hiring a security systems technician on a permanent contract at the SANSA Space Operations in Hartebeesthoek, Gauteng. The successful candidate will install, configure, integrate, maintain, repair, and monitor all related security systems.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, fit, and integrate security systems (audio virtual, cameras, alarms, intercoms, electric fencing, doors, gates, biometrics systems, etc.);
- Repair and maintain security systems;
- Security systems daily monitoring;
- Assist the security team, technicians, and project team with security systems; and
- Be safety conscious.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of three (3) years relevant experience as a security systems technician;
- Degree or Diploma in IT, Computer Engineering, or similar qualification;
- Microsoft operating systems;
- Networking (design, planning, and installation);
- Biometric systems (ZKAccess);
- CCTV and VMSs (GeoVision GV-VMS, SMartPSS, HikCentral, IVMS);
- Email software, i.e. Outlook;
- Microsoft Office;
- Desktop software and server software (installing and configuring);
- Hardware technical skills, i.e., use tools and other means to fix/maintain/repair;
- PSIRA registration is advantageous; and
- A valid driver’s license
