The Zimbabwe National Geospatial and Space Agency (ZINGSA) invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced professionals to fill the positions of Technicians within its Space Science, Engineering, Space Operations, and Geo-Information Division.
The successful candidates will support the implementation, maintenance, and operation of projects and systems in space science, engineering, innovation, and research programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation, testing, and maintenance of scientific, mechanical, and electronic systems.
- Support research and development projects in space engineering, remote sensing, and related technologies.
- Operate and troubleshoot laboratory and field equipment.
- Conduct data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Provide technical support for ongoing innovation and engineering initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in all technical operations.
Qualifications and Experience
Interested applicants are required to have a national diploma, higher national diploma, or degree in one of the following areas:
- Aerospace / Aeronautical Engineering/Avionics.
- Mechanical Engineering/mechatronics or related qualification.
- Telecommunications / Electronic/ Software Engineering/Instrumentation.
- Industrial Physics, Astronomy, Astrophysics, or Space Sciences.
- Geo-Informatics, Geology, Survey or related qualification.
Other qualifications include;
- Practical experience in a laboratory, workshop, or field study will be an added advantage.
- Demonstrated technical aptitude, innovation, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong passion for space science, engineering, and technology applications.
