Source:L'Oréal- UNESCO

This year’s edition of L’oreal-UNESCO’s Women In Science Award for Young Talent in Sub-Saharan Africa will reward 20 women for promoting the place of women in scientific fields. The African regional programme aims to promote and encourage the participation of young African women in science. This programme identifies talented young researchers in the formal sciences, life and environmental sciences,  material sciences,  engineering sciences and technological sciences.

Twenty endowments will be given to young researchers currently in doctoral and postdoctoral studies. The endowment is paid directly to the Young Talents by the L’Oréal Foundation after the prize-giving ceremony and after receiving the original documents necessary for the bank transfer. The purpose of the endowments is for use by the researchers themselves for the advancement of research in their country or of the researcher in their professional framework.
