The Regional Centre for Mapping Resources for Development (RCMRD), the African Group on Earth Observation (AfriGEO) and Dunia invite participants to register for the Mjini Hackathon. This event presents a unique opportunity to leverage Earth Observation data within the Dunia platform to address pressing urbanisation challenges in various African cities. Additionally, this presents an opportunity to contribute to creating more sustainable urban futures through urban expansion mapping, informal settlement detection, infrastructure assessment, and green space identification and planning.

The hackathon will be hybrid, allowing participants to participate in person at the RCMRD premises in Nairobi or remotely. Participants must be at least 18 years old.

- Success Stories published by ESA, Dunia and AfriGEO.
- Increasing Usage Quota for Dunia.
