Mari-Space is Hiring an Assistant Professor in Space Instrumentation

The Morocco Aerospace Research Institute (MARI-Space), affiliated with Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P), is seeking an Assistant Professor of Space Instrumentation and Ultra-Sensitive Detectors to join its growing research community.

About the Role

MARI-Space is looking for an experimental physicist with specialised expertise in developing ultra-sensitive detectors, including Transition Edge Sensors (TES), Kinetic Inductance Detectors (KIDs), and Hot Electron Bolometers (HEBs) for space missions.

The successful candidate will lead research focused on cryogenic systems, detector calibration, and sensor integration for applications in Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) studies, Earth observation, and deep-space astrophysics.

Essential Qualifications

Candidates should possess:

  1. A PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
  2. Demonstrated experience in cryogenic detectors and low-noise electronics
  3. A proven track record in space-related instrumentation projects
  4. Strong teaching and mentoring capabilities
