The 32nd International Astronomical Union (IAU) General Assembly is set to take place in Cape Town, South Africa, from August 6-15, 2024. The National Research Foundation is hosting the event with the Department of Science and Innovation and the African Astronomical Society. The IAU General Assembly 2024 is the first time the conference will be held in Africa.

To facilitate participation from all industry stakeholders in the global astronomy scene, the event will be a hybrid event; however, the physical venue is the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC). The assembly presents a remarkable opportunity for †he global community of astronomers to come together and engage in discussions concerning the latest observations, theories, and impact of astronomy.

Furthermore, the event will present a cutting-edge scientific program that transcends regional boundaries, providing an inclusive platform for all aspects of astronomy while highlighting Africa’s significant and growing contributions within the field globally.

In addition, there are sponsorship and exhibition opportunities available for industry stakeholders to engage with leading astronomers from around the world, both in person and online, and to participate in conversations that will shape the future of astronomy globally.

Registration and abstract submission will open in September 2O23.
