Apply for the Second Round of Payload Hosting Initiative (PHI)

The United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA), in collaboration with Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC) announced the opening of the second round of the Payload Hosting Initiative (PHI) during the International Astronautical Congress (IAC). The Payload Hosting Initiative (PHI) programme, established under the Access to Space for All initiative, aims to advance space education and research in satellite development, particularly for enhancing relevant capacity-building activities in developing countries. 

Furthermore, PHI-2 will provide an opportunity to host up to two payload(s) on the MBRSC PHI-2 mission. MBRSC will develop a 12U spacecraft platform, launch and support ground station. In addition, the maximum combined size of the two payloads to be selected will be 5U.

Interested individuals must register here to join the scheduled webinar on 1 November 2023, 13:00 (CET, UTC+1) to learn more about the eligibility criteria and application processes.

Deadline

Interested individuals must submit the application form by 31 March 2024.
