The Environmental Systems Research Institute and the Regional Centre for Mapping of Resources and Development (RCMRD) invites interested candidates to register for its two-day Regional Workshop on Geographic Information System (GIS) for Disaster Risk Management from 28 – 30 November 2023 at the University of Botswana, Botswana.
The workshop will feature a series of presentations, roundtables, and technical sessions and is designed to empower, connect, and coordinate members of the humanitarian community across the stages of prevention, anticipation, and preparedness for response and recovery. This is an opportunity for members of local nongovernmental organisations, national institutions, and international organisations to meet, learn from one another, and discuss how a geographic approach can improve collective resilience amid today’s many challenges.
