Dragonfly Aerospace (DF) is recruiting an Electronic Technician. The successful candidate will join the team at the facility in Stellenbosch, Western Cape, South Africa, to design, repair, troubleshoot, and develop electronic components and profer solutions to meet and achieve outputs that meet the validated requirements.  

Job Responsibilities 
  • General soldering of test equipment harnesses;
  • General soldering of test PCB’s;
  • Crimp harness repairs/Modifications;
  • PCB QA Inspection—IPC/ESA for FM;
  • Inspect assembled PCB QA;
  • General stock keeping of harness wiring;
  • General assistance with EVT setups—electrical;
  • ESD controls for cleanrooms;
  • Temp/Humidity monitoring;
  • BOM kitting for PCB production;
  • Calibration logging (& Certification Maintenance) for equipment;
  • Harness inspection/QA as per IPC/ESA for FM;
  • GSE equipment maintenance/calibration—electrical/instrumentation;
  • Cleanroom & GSE test lab consumables management;
  • Cleanroom garments management;
  • Assistance with orders/component sourcing/quotations;
  • BOM kitting for mechanical assemblies—Fasteners;
  • Rework, modification, and repair of electronic assemblies;
  • Soldering of electrical and electronic assemblies;
  • Manage hazardous substance control;
  • Maintenance on laboratory electronic test & measurement equipment & (GSE) systems;
  • Document & log action records on QM/FM hardware;
  • Document & log results from tests and experiments;
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area; 
  • Ensure a clean & organised electronic (GSE) test laboratory;
  • Work according to the required process standards (as applicable, e.g. EEE Modification Standard); and
  • Support PM/LE with hardware testing & integration activities (development & product);
