The Kenya Space Agency (KSA) has announced a call for Expressions of Interest (EOI) from Kenyan National Universities and their associated entities to host an Earth Observation (EO) Innovation Lab. This initiative is a significant step toward fostering local capacity in Earth Observation technologies and applications.

The programme is a collaborative effort between KSA and Expertise France under the Data Governance in Africa Initiative, a partnership between the African Union (AU) and the European Union (EU). Jointly financed by the EU and five of its Member States—Belgium, Estonia, Finland, France, and Germany—this initiative falls under the Digital for Development (D4D) Hub-Team Europe Initiative (TEI).

Interested institutions are encouraged to submit their completed EOIs by 11:59 AM (EAT) on December 18, 2024, via email to eolabs@ksa.go.ke.
