Mercator Ocean International is organising the Copernicus Marine Service Online Training Workshop dedicated to the marine communities in Africa on May 10 & 11.
This workshop is meant for researchers, policymakers, marine project managers, and everyone in the marine sector. You will be able to learn about the open-source data provided by the Copernicus Marine Service, how to access it, and how the products and knowledge provided serves marine sectors in Africa.
The training workshop aims at engaging with the marine communities in Africa. By presenting the Copernicus Marine Service global data products and sharing direct user applications, this workshop wants to bring knowledge to sectors such as marine conservation, coastal studies and ocean governance. A practical session is dedicated to live demonstrations of the use of the data using Jupyter Notebooks, the My Ocean Viewer Pro and QGIS software.
