The European GNSS Agency is partnering with Ultrahack, the Finish Transport and Communications Agency (Traficom) and European Space Week to bring the Galileo Innovation Challenge happening on the 29th of November to 1st of December, 2019 at Erik Palménin Aukio 1, Helsinki. The Challenge will include individual specific challenges – the Accuracy Matters challenge from the GSA, “Can you identify interference?” challenge from DA-Group and a high accuracy GNSS in robotics challenge from u-blox.

The project, named after the renowned astronomer Galileo, went live in 2016 with 22 satellites currently in orbit and supported more than 1 billion smartphones, not to mention other devices.

The Finnish Transport and Communications Agency Traficom, along with the European GNSS Agency (GSA), u-blox, and DA-Group invites you to explore the innovations that are made possible by the enhanced performance of Galileo.

The top three teams stand to win cash prizes, one-to-one coaching on preparing an application to the Finnish ESA Business Incubation Centre, where the value of the potential incubation amounts to EUR 75 000 EUR.

The winning teams will also get the opportunity to network with a wide selection of potential investors at European Space Week, which will be held at Helsinki Congress Paasitorni on 3-5 December.

Galileo Innovation Challenge brings together top mentors from the GNSS field, valuable prizes and a once-in-a-lifetime experience to embark on the Galileo era.

Date & Location: 29th of November to 1st of December, 2019 at Erik Palménin Aukio 1, Helsinki.
