The International Astronautical Federation (IAF) invites the world to the Global Conference for Emerging Nations (GLEC 2022) conference, scheduled to hold from 16 – 20 May 2022 in Quito, Ecuador. The GLEC 2022 is designed to unite the international community, including senior representatives of the major space agencies, industries, governments, policymakers, academia and non-governmental organisations. These leaders will converge on Quito, Ecuador, to present results, exchange ideas, debate roadmaps and discuss the future opportunities that space activities provide and the socio-economic benefits of space application in emerging nations.
Furthermore, the event aims to understand the various financial models for the optimal resourcing of national space programs by identifying opportunities for technology and skills transfer; creating awareness about the base infrastructure requirements needed for operating and running national space programs and by creating awareness on the essential legislative and policy elements that must be considered in establishing the foundation for national space programs.
