The Southern African Science Service Centre for Change and Adaptive Land Management (SASSCAL) and the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) will be co-hosting the GMES and Africa Southern African Regional Workshop from the 5th -7th June 2023 in Luanda, Angola.
The regional workshop, themed “Earth Observation Bridging the Gap Between Science and Policy,” aims to bring policy and decision-makers in Southern Africa and other stakeholders in the wetlands, environment, and water resources management together to discuss and share innovation in EO technologies for climate change.
The GMES and Africa Southern Africa Regional Workshop provides a platform for policy and decision-makers and stakeholders to strengthen cross-fertilisation and exchange knowledge on new and innovative earth observation technologies as well as promote and encourage mutual exchanges in terms of sharing best practices, knowledge, and experiences.
The workshop, funded under the GMES & Africa programme, will be attended by an estimated delegation of 100 industry stakeholders.
