The Africa-Europe Science and Innovation platform is a stakeholder forum that defines priorities for science and innovation cooperation between Africa and Europe. These agendas are developed through dialogue with industry, research institutes and the public sector across EU Member States and African nations. They aim to better align priorities across scientific themes with those of researchers and industry representatives.

The forum aims for policymakers to strategise on integrating digital technologies into the European Union and its member states’ policies concerning Africa. The meeting will also serve as a networking tool for African states and their partners in related EU programmes and science and innovation programmes supported by EU member states and associated countries. This will also be an opportunity to explore digital capacities for science inclusion and citizen participation across Africa. The event will be held from 7 – 10 March 2023.
