The Regional Centre for Mapping of Resources for Development (RCMRD) is inviting interested individuals to attend its 8th AfriGEO Symposium and RCMRD International Conference (RIC 2024), “EARTH: Our only Home,” which will be held from 13 to 15 August 2024 at RCMRD headquarters, Nairobi, Kenya.
Furthermore, the RIC 2024 will emphasise the importance of utilising Geographic Information System (GIS) Mapping Technology for effective policy implementation. In addition, the conference will provide an excellent platform for policymakers, executives, experts, researchers, developers, and innovators to share experiences, ideas, methods, and technological advancements and engage with key players in the Earth observation (EO) and GIS arena from all over the globe.
Objectives
- To combine various user domains within and beyond EO to understand the science-policy interaction.
- To spur ideas on effective utilisation of Earth observation information in decision making.
- To enhance integration approaches for societal benefits.
