The African Union Commission (AUC) is requesting technical and financial proposals to supply and install Global Positioning System (GPS) vehicle tracking devices. The Commission will select a firm under the Quality and Cost Based Selection method and procedures described in the Request For Proposal linked below.
Bid Validity:
Proposals should be valid for at least 90 calendar days from the bid closing date.
Bid Opening:
The Commission will open received bids immediately after the deadline (15:00 hours Addis Ababa Local Time on 2 July 2021). Furthermore, the Commission will open the bids in the presence of bidders or their representatives who attend the virtual bid opening session. To this end, AUC will share the link with all bidders in advance. Finally, the AUC will reject late bids and subsequently inform the concerned bidders accordingly.
Bid Submission Modalities and Submission Deadline:
This is a two-separate electronic-folder bidding. Bidders should ensure that the Technical and Financial proposals are enclosed in two separate electronic folders clearly indicating the title and procurement number. Due to Covid-19 safety precautions, bidders are to submit bids electronically to the following address – African Union Commission Procurement, Travel & Stores Division Headquarters, Roosevelt Street, P.O. Box3243 Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. (Tel+251115517700 ext4305, 4308 Fax +251115517844 Email: tender@africa-union.org). In addition, bidders are to submit Technical and Financial bids in PDF format. Likewise, during bid submission, bidders will secure their electronic financial proposals with the appropriate password. Bidders shall subsequently communicate the password upon request (at the time of financial bid opening) by the AUC. Proposals must be submitted no later than Friday 2nd of July 2021 at 15:00hours. The companies are to submit a technical proposal and a financial proposal, as specified in the Data Sheet. These proposals are for consulting services that assignments in the Data Sheet require. The proposal will be the basis for contract negotiations and ultimately for a signed contract with the selected firm. In addition, the firms shall implement the assignment as per any phasing indicated in the Data Sheet. When the assignment includes several phases, the consultant’s performance under each phase must be to the Client’s satisfaction before work begins on the next phase.
