Building on the success of previous African Space Generation Workshops (AF-SGW), SGAC will organise the 7th African Space Generation Workshop in 2023. The workshop brings together students, young professionals, industry experts and government stakeholders from across Africa to interact and discuss innovations and regional challenges related to the African space sector. In addition, the event provides excellent opportunities for future African space industry leaders to network, exchange ideas, learn and collaborate on space innovations for the continent’s benefit.
The call is open to SGAC members in the African Region; however, bids from Morocco, South Africa, Ethiopia, Ghana, Morocco and South Africa will not be considered, as those countries have already hosted a major SGAC regional event in the past five years. Furthermore, ideal bids should come from countries able to attract sponsorships and qualified speakers to the event.
