The International Astronomical Federation(IAF) is inviting individuals to submit abstracts for the Global Space Conference on climate change(GLOC), holding in Oslo, Norway, from 23 to 25 May, 2023. GLOC 2023 will contribute to the global efforts to better understand and battle climate change through space-based services and applications. In addition, GLOC 2023 is designed to encourage collaborative solutions and expertise exchange amongst all nations. The GLOC 2023 will focus on the theme “Fire and Ice – Space for Climate Action”.
Interested individuals are invited to submit a 400-word abstract on the following topics:
- Understanding and Predicting the Climate Change for our Planet;
- Climate Change Impacts and Challenges;
- Earth Observing Missions and Systems to Address Climate Change and Its Impacts;
- Weather, Climate and Environmental Intelligence;
- An Outer Space Perspective on Climate Change (Space Law and Policy);
- Space Technology for Climate Adaptation and Mitigation;
- Next Generation of Climate Services;
- Business Models and Cooperation for Missions, Data and Services;
- The Social, Communications, Economic and Cultural Dimensions of Environmental Change.
