SpaceOps provides a technical and managerial forum for experts in Space Operations (Mission and Ground Segment Designers, Mission Operators, Engineers in charge of mission logistic support, Technical and Administrations Managers, Industry, Academia, and etc.) to present, discuss and promote technical concepts, emerging methodologies, and measures for advanced Space Operations.
The overall aim is to maximize mission return whilst still maintaining the required mission safety within the framework of today’s increasingly demanding and complex Space Missions.
The upcoming 16th SpaceOps Conference (SpaceOps 2020) will be taking place from 18 – 22 May, 2020 in the beautiful city of Cape Town, South Africa. The conference will be held under the theme “Beyond boundaries in human endeavours.”
SpaceOps 2020, hosted by SANSA, will provide the opportunity for you to share experiences, challenges, and innovative solutions with colleagues from around the world. This conference aims to bring together the global space operations community to address state-of-the-art operations principles, methods and tools. Held biennially since 1990, the conference attracts technologists, scientists, and managers from space agencies, industry, and academia, and fosters managerial and technical interchange on all aspects of space mission operations, including robotic and human spaceflight, Earth orbit and deep space missions, lunar and planetary missions, and orbital and surface operations.
The “Call for Abstracts” is a precursor to a subsequent submission of a final paper, which may be presented at the 16th International SpaceOps conference in 2020. Authors are invited to submit an original abstract, an unpublished paper that has not been submitted in any other forum. The Topics for submission are:

Abstracts must be written in English and the length should not exceed 1200 words. Tables or drawings are not allowed in the abstract.

SpaceOps 2020 emphasizes unique and innovative practices, technologies, and experiences from which others in the space operations community will benefit. Abstracts will be evaluated based upon (but not limited to):
