Caribou Space, in partnership with the UK Humanitarian Innovation Hub (UKHIH), is inviting applications for a programme to integrate geospatial data and tools into the operations of smaller humanitarian organisations. This initiative is designed to enhance contextual awareness and preparedness for crises triggered by weather events.

Programme Overview

The support will be provided in three phases:

  1. Group Training Session (October/November 2024):
  • Introduction to geospatial information
  • Peer-to-peer knowledge sharing
  1. Scoping Assessment (October/November 2024):
  • One-on-one walkthroughs to identify where satellite data can support decision-making.

3. Technical Support (November 2024 – February 2025):

  • Engagement with a technical expert to identify open-access data and tools.
  • Training and support for integrating these tools into decision-making processes.
Selection Process

Applications will be evaluated based on the criteria outlined in the Call for Applications. Shortlisted candidates may be invited for a scoping interview in September 2024 to clarify application details and assess suitability.
