The South African Department of Science and Innovation (DSI) is hosting the 4th SA-GEO symposium of the National Earth Observation and Space Secretariat (NEOSS) and the 3rd Space for National Development (SND) of the South African National Space Agency (SANSA). The event will hold at the CSIR International Convention Centre, Pretoria, South Africa, from 31 August to 2 September 2022.
The South African Group on Earth Observations (SA-GEO) symposium is an annual gathering of South Africa’s Space science and technology community that aims to highlight, promote, and share knowledge and information on space and Earth observation applications, products, services, and their use to realising socio-economic and environmental benefit and improved decision making. The symposium also allows researchers, academics, public officials (local, provincial, national and parastatal), industry, data suppliers, consultants, NGOs, and other professionals interested in Earth Observations to interact.
The SND event brings together decision-makers in the national space fraternity to learn about SANSA and its relevance to national imperatives. This resultingly ignites conversations on how best to develop a coordinated and collective approach towards a sustainable space programme for national growth and development.

Exhibition
The SA-GEO symposium and the SND events provide incredible opportunities to both public and private industry as well as the broader space community to showcase research, products and services in space science and technology. To ensure that the exhibition area remains the hub for all delegates, all coffee/networking breaks take place in the exhibition area and will remain open for the duration of the event. Furthermore, a limited number of exhibition booths are available on a first-come, first-served basis at no cost to exhibitors. Interested exhibitors can register here to register their organisation for the exhibition. As such, the deadline for registration to exhibit is Sunday, 31 July 2022.
