Nigcomsat Stakeholders Engagement Forum 2021

The Nigerian Ministry of Science and Technology and Nigcomsat limited are organising the 2021 edition of its stakeholder forum. The forum’s theme is NIGCOMSAT: the present and the future. Furthermore, the forum will hold on Thursday, 16 September 2021. The venue is the Providence (by Mantis), 12A Oba Akinjobi Way, Ikeja GRA, 100282, Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria. Nigcomsat will answer questions and sign up new lease agreements for transponder lease and all other services.

Nigcomsat limited offers transponder leasing services on its Ku-band, C-band and Ka-band platforms onboard NigComSat-1R.

  • The Ku-band comprises 14 transponders of 31.5MHz, each with three beams over West Africa, Southern Africa and Kashi.
  • The C-band comprises four transponders of 36MHz each with coverage over West, East and Central Africa.
  • While Ka-band has eight transponders of 120MHz each for broadcast and trunking, it has three fixed spot beams over Nigeria, Europe, South Africa.

The company’s satellite broadband service connects customers in Africa and Asia on the Ku-band, C-band and Ka-band platforms on NigComSat-1R. This provides multiple solutions to their communication needs. In addition, Nigcomsat’s satellite broadband service is deployable almost anywhere, in a very short time. Thus, this advantage makes it ideal for business continuity and connectivity in remote, hard to reach locations or temporary sites.
