In preparation for the 2024 General Assembly of the International Astronomical Union (IAU), the Forum on Astronomy in Africa 2022 will be held on 25 October 2022. The fully virtual forum will bring together members of the astronomy community, enthusiasts, outreach and education specialists, and policymakers. Its purpose is to maintain momentum towards GA2024, building on the work of the last forum held in October 2021 and to allow updates on preparations for Vision 2024 and other projects.
Interested persons are welcome to view the presentations from the last forum. Individuals who wish to update their presentation with new information or anything they missed last year can reach out to the IAU. The links to those recorded presentations are on last year’s programme.
The virtual forum will be held via Zoom and live-streamed on Youtube on 25 October 2022. To register, visit here.
