The National Earth Observations and Space Secretariat (NEOSS) and the South African National Space Agency (SANSA), in collaboration with the South African Air Force and other key partners, are hosting the National Space Conference (NSC) themed “Space Science and Innovation for Sustainability” at the CSIR International Convention Centre, Pretoria, South Africa, from 28 August – 30 August 2024.
The NSC is an opportunity for South African stakeholders, including researchers, academics, public servants, businesses, data suppliers, consultants, and NGOs, to interact, share ideas and information, and spark discussions about how to work together most effectively to create a sustainable space ecosystem, programs, and initiatives for national growth and development.
The NSC 2024 aims to create a gathering of experts and emerging leaders in the South African space scene, where visionary ideas intersect with practical solutions, propelling the frontiers of space science and innovation towards a sustainable future.
The NSC 2024 will feature keynote addresses, panel discussions, and technical sessions spanning policy, science and technology, and interdisciplinary dialogue, with each day spotlighting specific themes aligned with sustainable goals.
In addition, the NSC 2024 offers unparalleled networking opportunities and a vibrant exhibition segment for showcasing groundbreaking innovations and other special events tailored for youth participation within the space science community.
