The United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA), the Austrian Federal Ministry for Climate Africa Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology (BMK) and the Austrian Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs (BMEIA) are the organisers of the World Space Forum under the theme “ Sustainability in Space for sustainability on Earth” which runs from the 13th of December to the 15th of December 2022.
The World Space Forum comprises multi-stakeholders of experts, policy-makers, regional, national and local institutions, private organisations, academic institutions, Non-Governmental Organisations and International Organisations. This is a composition that facilitates a diverse and inclusive dialogue.
Running under the hashtag #WSF2022. The forum themes will be based on the Space 2030 Agenda of the Sustainable Development Goals in preparation for the upcoming Sustainable Development Goals Summit 2023. In addition to the four pillars of space economy, space society, space accessibility and space diplomacy.
