The UN General Assembly 76th Session declared the 20th of July International Moon day. This is an annual educational, cultural and scientific event. International Moon Day global events are inviting government, industry, academia, and NGOs to organise new events under the 2023 theme “ Beginning the new Lunar Journey for Humanity”.
The organisers are expected to submit event proposals that are in line with the International Moon Day celebration goals;
- Education and promotion for the public.
- Sustainable Moon exploration and utilisation.
- Global cooperation between stakeholders.
Organiser Guidelines
- Avoid political implications.
- Align proposals with the 2023 theme “ Beginning the new Lunar Journey for Humanity”.
- Facilitate inclusivity.
- Engaging local stakeholders.
- Raise awareness of lunar exploration.
- Engage local sponsors.
- Organise multi-country events.
Important Information
- Deadline for submission of event proposals: 28 February 2023
- Selected proposals will be notified by 20 March 2023.
