The Outreach and Education Committee and the Science Committee of the African Astronomical Society (AfAS), in collaboration with the International Astronomical Union General Assembly (IAU GA) 2024, are actively searching for organisations interested in accommodating international guests for science, outreach, and education programmes throughout August 2024. This opportunity spans before, during, and after the IAU General Assembly.
The accommodation will allow participants travelling from across the globe to attend the IAU GA 2024 in Cape Town and visit other African countries and various cities in South Africa for science collaborations, education and outreach activities and general networking opportunities. This presents an incredible opportunity to create a real impact, inspiring communities to ensure that the benefits of astronomy and scientific exploration are accessible to all.

Interested organisations must complete the expression of interest form here. Hosts will be selected by the African Astronomical Society and the GA 2024 National Organising Committee.
