The Henri Poincaré Junior Program of Côte d’Azur Observatory is proposing internships for international students wishing to perform scientific training in one of the laboratories of the observatory. The laureates will receive up to 2200 euros for a training period of 2 months or more during the second half of 2020.
Application Conditions
Applicants must be a student in Master 2 or Ph.D. (or equivalent) and from a country where astrophysical and Earth sciences are in development. Interested students should contact an OCA researcher in their discipline who prepares and files the application. This application is electronic and should include the latex application form filled (and converted to PDF, can be downloaded by clicking on “Téléchargements” in the previous link), a CV (shorter than 2 pages) and up to two letters of recommendation. - What are the criteria for laureate selection?
The scientific council of OCA selects candidates. The list of laureates will be published in the month of June 2020. The main criterion is the excellence of the application. Proposals that can lead to a longer-term collaboration are favoured. We will take into account the research needs in the proposant application and the prospects offered to the students too. The program cannot fund co-supervised OCA’s students as the program’s aim is to help young scientists with new research perspectives.
