ISU to Host Panel on Space Activities in Africa

The International Space University (ISU) presents “NewSpace is the NewAfrica”, an African Space Policy Panel 

Strasbourg, France– International Space University (ISU) will present “NewSpace is the NewAfrica”, taking place in YouTube on 08/08/2020, and featuring:

Dr Francis Chizea (General Director at National Space Research and Development Agency), Pontsho Maruping (Head of Commercialisation, SKA South Africa), Dr Peter Martinez (Executive Director at Secure World Foundation), Dr Tidiane Ouattara  (GMES & Africa Support Program Coordinator at African Union Commission), Rania Toukebri (Regional Coordinator SGAC Africa), and Zolana Rui Joao (General Director at GGPEN, Angola Space Office) as panellists, and Iliass Tanouti (Regional Coordinator for Africa at Space Generation Advisory Council) as a moderator for the panel.

The International Space University is proud to stream online on its YouTube Channel “NewSpace is the NewAfrica”, a panel on Space African Policy that is taking place as part of ISU’s Alumni Conference 2020.

The panel will focus on the main points affecting the African space scene in the present and the ones that will shape its future: including the African Space Agency, the industry of Earth Observation data, space neocolonialism, the launch of CubeSat programs etc.
