The East African Astronomical Society is pleased to announce its 6th round of the Workshop (EAASW) and the 1st School of Astronomy (EA-SA) from 15-22 May 2021 with the theme: “Astronomy for Science and Social Development”. It will be held in Dodoma, Tanzania hosted by the Open University of Tanzania (OUT) and the University of Dodoma (UDOM) and the East African Regional Office for Astronomy Development (EA-ROAD)
The Workshop and the School will be held in a HYBRID mode both physically and online. The physical attendance will be in the centrally located capital city of Dodoma on the campus of the University of Dodoma. The online attendees can participate from around the world.

East Africa School for Astronomy
The East Africa School for Astronomy (EA-SA) is intended to provide young scientists with skills in Astronomy, astronomical instrumentation and data-intensive applications areas. Young scientists especially from East Africa are encouraged to apply. A few grants are available for needy applicants
