The National Earth Observations and Space Secretariat (NEOSS), with the South African National Space Agency (SANSA) and other key partners, is hosting the National Space Conference (NSC) themed “Space for Inclusive Growth” at the CSIR International Convention Centre, Pretoria, South Africa, from 30 August – 1 September 2023.
The National Space Conference offers South African stakeholders, such as researchers, academics, public servants, businesses, data suppliers, consultants, and NGOs, a forum and opportunity to interact, share ideas and information, and spark discussions about how to work together most effectively to create a sustainable space ecosystem, programs, and initiatives for national growth and development.
The conference aims to advance knowledge and information about space and Earth observation applications, operations, products, and services and how to use them for better decision-making, the advancement of society, the economy, and the protection of the environment. Also, it offers an engaging schedule that includes keynote talks, panel discussions, showcasing, and technical sessions based on selected daily themes and sub-themes. Presentations of scientific, policy and technical natures are encouraged.
In addition, the conference presents a chance for networking and showcasing, a space science and technology exhibition, and youth participation events designed to promote equality, diversity, inclusion, and access.
Exhibition opportunities, scholarships and abstract submissions close on 15th August 2023. To register, visit here. To encourage participation, registration is free of charge.
